RABBI DAVID FEDER
Rabbi David Feder, our rabbi, was born in Memphis, Tennessee but came to Morgantown from Evansville, Indiana with his wife Karen. The twins Orli and Ari were born in October 2002.

 Immediate Past PRESIDENT LINDA JACKNOWITZ
This is Linda Jacknowitz's third stint as a TOL board member. She and her husband, Art, joined TOL more than 25 years ago. Linda is a librarian and Art is a pharmacy professor. Linda chaired the successful Kallah '99, a weekend retreat celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Tree of Life's Synagogue.

Board Member LEE PETSONK
Lee Petsonk has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tree of Life Congregation since 1996, and served as president from 1998 - 2000. His religious education and bar mitzvah training was received at Temple Beth Israel in Altoona, PA, where his family was very active in the Jewish community, and he was a member of the national board of the National Federation of Temple Youth. His family has been very involved at Tree of Life; both of his children Sam and Annie became b'nai mitzvah and taught in the religious school, his wife Susan served for many years as social action chair, and his father Eddy established a Holocaust
Education endowment. Lee currently works as a physician and researcher at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Treasurer MERLE STOLZENBERG
Merle Stolzenberg brings a lifetime of commitment to Jewish activities. Her husband Alan is a former TOL Board member; daughter Emily is a student at Princeton University; daughter Jackie and son Stephen both attend the TOL religious school. Merle currently works as a cost/price analyst for the Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory in Morgantown. She also currently serves as the treasurer/membership chair of the Morgantown chapter of Hadassah and a member of the Central States Region board.

Zelda Weiss is a founding member of the Tree of Life and serves faithfully on the Board of Trustees. She is a valuable resource as the board's historical memory and brings a depth of experience in business and management.

BOARD MEMBER STEVE ZDATNY
Steve Zdatny and his family have been in Morgantown for ten years, by way of New York City and Ripple, Gloucestershire, UK. He teaches modern French History at West Virginia University.
